Zoo Game 🏥 Rescue Center Now Open for Business! 👩‍⚕️

It's a busy week in Zoo 2: Animal Park. The long-anticipated Rescue Center finally opens its doors, a cashback sale has kicked off, and there are new exciting bonus gift options with Diamond purchases! 💎
2025-05-20

There's a lot going on at the zoo this week - check it out!

New Feature: Rescue Center

Over the years, the zoo has taken in its fair share of animals from unfortunate circumstances - orphaned babies, injured animals, or animals displaced in natural disasters. The whole zoo team has always had a soft spot for animals in need. So it's no wonder they rose to the challenge when when Dr. Byrd approaches them for help with a sick rabbit abandoned on her clinic's doorstep.

Players level 100 and up can now unlock the brand-new Rescue Center on their world map for 190 Diamonds!

The Rescue Center allows you to take in injured animals, nurse them back to health, and then transfer them to your zoo or release them for experience points.

The Rescue Enclosure

The Rescue Center is a new region, but unlike previous regions, it is not a zoo geared towards visitors. There are no visitors, no trash, no flowers to water, no Coins to be earned.

Most of the region is taken up be a large, mixed species enclosure, which can be expanded by purchasing neighboring plots, similar to regular zoo expansions. Most animals (with the exception of water, aquarium, terrarium, and nocturnal animals) can be housed here together.

All existing enclosure decorations and equipment can be used here, but you will also find region-exclusive decorations and special enclosure equipment specifically for the Rescue Enclosure, which works for all species, has twice as many charges and gives twice the experience of regular enclosure equipment.

The terrain editor can be used to customize the ground in the Rescue Enclosure, allowing you to create different habitats for your patients.

Rehabilitating Animals

Animals for the Rescue Center are obtained through the Rescue Station, which replaces the regular animal section of the shop.

Unlike in the regular animal shop, animals that show up at the Rescue Station can be babies or be higher level. The Rescue Station has a daily selection of three animals, one of which is always an animal exclusive to the Rescue Center.

To heal animals, you will need to tend to various familiar and new animal needs:

Feeding
Playing
Cleaning
Medication
Wound Care
Petting

You can take care of these yourself, or hire a Veterinarian (medication and wound care) or Zookeeper (all other needs) to help out!

Taking care of these needs will gradually fill an animal's health bar - once it has been filled completely, you will be able to either transfer the animal to your main zoo (where it will have increased popularity and grant 1.5x as much experience as a regular animal) or release it into the wild for a large amount of experience points.

Exclusive Species

The Rescue Center is the only way to obtain these five exclusive new species:

Bay Cat, Cape Fox, Greater Rhea, Leopard Tortoise, and Lop Rabbit

New Alternate Bonus and VIP Gifts

A mid-sized tortoise with a dark carapace and some red and yellow highlights, the Red-Footed Tortoise is a popular pet and (in its native range in South America) a conveniently slow source of food, both of which have contributed to the species being considered vulnerable.

You can now get a Red-Footed Tortoise (or Spix's Macaw) as a free bonus gift when you purchase 100 Diamonds¹ or more!

You can keep up to eight of these colorful chelonians in a single jungle enclosure.

With a purchase 200 Diamonds² or more, you can even get a breeding pair of your chosen animal!

We also have a brand-new VIP bonus gift for purchases of 1000 Diamonds³ or more, which you can now select instead of the Whale Shark:

An expert on all things zoo-related, Madame Yu has both the wisdom and experience to help you make the most of her zoo. This NPC will stroll through your zoo and impress your visitors with her sage advice. Every once in a while, she'll even have a gift of Coins, experience points or a puzzle piece for you!

When purchasing 2500 Diamonds⁴ or more (browser and Android only!), you'll even be able to get a pair of your selected VIP gift!

¹To receive a bonus gift, 100 Diamonds or more must be purchased in a single transaction. That means several smaller payments (ie. 2x 50 Diamonds) will not count.
For each payment of 100-199 Diamonds, you'll get one Red-Footed Tortoise or Spix's Macaw.
²A purchase of 200-999 Diamonds (pre-bulk bonus), will get you two Red-Footed Tortoises or Spix's Macaws.
³With a purchase 1000 Diamonds (pre-bulk bonus), you'll have the option to receive one Whale Shark OR one Madame Yu NPC INSTEAD of two Red-Footed Tortoises or Spix's Macaws.
⁴With a purchase 2500 Diamonds (pre-bulk bonus), you'll have the option to receive two Whale Sharks OR two Madame Yu NPCs INSTEAD of two Red-Footed Tortoises or Spix's Macaws.
