My Free Zoo - Tapir and striped owl: now new in the zoo

With the tapir and the striped owl, two newcomers are going to join the happy animal family on My Free Zoo today.
2013-08-27

Native to Southeast Asian and South and Central American jungle and forest regions, the stout tapir will love its new home in one of your jungle or forest enclosures. Though similar to a pig in shape, the tapir's closest relatives are, among others, horses and rhinoceros.

Starting today, you'll be able to secure yourselves the popular browsing mammal as exclusive bonus animal - but only for a short while! For further details, please stop by in our forum.

While the hefty tapir is firmly rooted to the ground, the striped owl, native to South and parts of Central America as well, is going to enjoy fluttering around one of your bird houses! You'll be able to purchase this beautiful nocturnal bird in your zoo shops from level 60 onward.
