72 years ago on February 21st, Sir Frederick Grant Banting died in a plane crash. In 1923, Banting was awarded the Nobel Price of Medicine as the primary discoverer of insulin.
In 1922, one of the first patients to be treated with insulin, was a 5-year-old boy. The doctors had given the boy a life expectancy of no more than 2 years. He eventually died in 1993 at the age of 76 years.
To celebrate the memory of Sir Frederick Banting, the Pharmacy Pop that Pill offers all remedies at a 20% rebate.
